Digital Project Engineer – Airswift

Job Purpose

The Digital Project Engineer is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of digital products that enhance internal customer experience and align with business goals. This includes product design, development, and maintenance, as well as project management activities such as planning, scheduling, risk management, and stakeholder communication. The role also supports agile delivery practices and fosters innovation across digital initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Product Development

  • Design and maintain digital products that improve user experience and customer engagement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine use case backlogs and develop user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Support the Product Owner (PO) in prioritizing scope and backlog activities.
  • Lead workshops and assist in mapping current and future business processes.
  • Contribute to product vision and roadmap development.

Project Management

  • Manage 2–3 digital projects concurrently, varying in complexity.
  • Track and report delivery costs per use case.
  • Monitor project progress, risks, and ensure timely delivery within scope and budget.
  • Present delivery metrics and outcomes to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Escalate obstacles to the Head of Delivery when necessary.

Agile Delivery & Team Facilitation

  • Facilitate agile rituals: daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and release planning.
  • Maintain backlog tools and ensure transparency of project status.
  • Motivate and lead agile squads (approx. 6 members including internal, contracted, and external personnel).
  • Promote a high-performing team culture and remove delivery obstacles.

Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Manage vendor relationships and coordinate activities to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Ensure effective collaboration between business units, IS, and technology partners.
  • Enable efficient team operations and foster a collaborative mindset.

Training & Rollout

  • Contribute to the creation of training materials and rollout plans.
  • Initiate value tracking processes for use case deployment.

Work Environment

  • Based in Doha, Qatar (standard office hours, 5 days/week).
  • Digital transformation is key to extending operations beyond 2042 in a cost-effective manner.
