Electrical Estimator

1. ROLE DESCRIPTION
2. Duty

• accurate and competitive cost estimate of electrical works including but not limited to Power, Lighting  and ELV system.

• Review and check tender documents such as drawings, specifications, PVL, Circulars and latest authority standard and regulation and Boq are available before starting the tender.
• Any missing documents shall immediately subject to prepare list of clarifications to be submitted to Tender/Estimation Manager.
• Float inquiries to suppliers and must evaluate all quotations received to comply with project specification and latest authority standard and regulation ( i.e. QCS2014, QCDD/NFPA Guidelines, MOI Guidelines, Kahramaa Guidelines, Ooredoo Guidelines, Woqod Guidelines & Marafeq & Lusail Guidelines, others).
• Coordinate and follow up complete material take off to QS/ Electrical.
• Prepare electrical costing sheet including but not limited to direct cost of material, manpower & subcontractor (specialist) in accordance with material take off, specifications and authority standard and regulations.
• Fill up bill of quantity (BOQ).

• Direct reporting to Tender & Estimation Manager and or Operation Manager

1. Required Competencies 

• Ability to recognize project specifications particularly of nonstandard and or with high requirements.
• Ability to collect quotations (minimum of 3) in compliance with specification and authority standard and regulation
• Ability to adhere on or before submission date.
