NOC Analysts (L1 and L2)
We are looking for NOC Analysts (L1 & L2) to support the monitoring, troubleshooting, and management of enterprise network infrastructure and services. The successful candidates will play a key role in ensuring network availability, responding to incidents, maintaining operational excellence, and supporting service continuity in a 24/7 Network Operations Center environment.
Key Responsibilities:
L1 NOC Analyst Responsibilities:
- Monitor network infrastructure through dashboards, monitoring tools, and alerting systems.
- Acknowledge and respond to network alerts within defined SLA timelines.
- Perform first-level diagnostics for link failures, device unreachability, interface errors, and high-utilization alerts.
- Verify service availability and perform basic connectivity checks.
- Log, categorize, track, and update incidents accurately within the ticketing system.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), triage workflows, and incident management processes.
- Escalate incidents to L2 support teams based on impact, severity, and escalation guidelines.
- Maintain shift handover reports, operational logs, and incident documentation.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely communication and service restoration.
- Support operational compliance through accurate reporting and documentation.
L2 NOC Analyst Responsibilities
- Manage and resolve network incidents escalated from L1 support teams.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and deep-dive diagnostics across routing, switching, firewall policies, VPN connectivity, and network performance issues.
- Investigate device misconfigurations, service degradations, and recurring network faults.
- Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, and Engineering teams for configuration changes, firmware upgrades, maintenance activities, and planned outages.
- Validate incident resolution and ensure service restoration before ticket closure.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and document findings, corrective actions, and preventive measures.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge base articles.
- Fine-tune monitoring thresholds and recommend improvements to network visibility and alert management.
- Identify recurring operational issues and drive continuous service improvement initiatives.
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and knowledge sharing to L1 NOC Analysts.
Qualifications & Experience:
L1 NOC Analyst
- 2–3 years of experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC) or Network Monitoring environment.
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT Networking, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Cisco CCNA and/or CompTIA Network+ certification is required.
- Basic understanding of routing, switching, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and network monitoring tools.
- Experience using ticketing systems and incident management processes.
- Strong communication, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
L2 NOC Analyst
- 3–5 years of experience in Network Administration, Network Operations, or Network Support environments.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Networking, Telecommunications, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Cisco CCNA certification is required; CCNP certification is highly preferred.
- ITIL Foundation certification is an advantage.
- Strong hands-on experience with enterprise routing, switching, VPN, firewall technologies, and network troubleshooting.
- Experience performing root cause analysis and managing complex network incidents.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
Additional Requirements
- Experience working in SLA-driven support environments.
- Familiarity with network monitoring, alerting, and ticketing tools.
- Willingness to work rotational shifts in a 24/7 operational environment.
- Strong teamwork and customer service mindset.
- Priority will be given to candidates currently available in Qatar with a valid QID.
