General Manager – Swimming Pools & MEP Operations
We are seeking a highly experienced, commercially driven General Manager to lead an established swimming pool construction, water features, and maintenance business in Qatar.
The successful candidate will assume full responsibility for business operations, technical project delivery, commercial development, financial performance, and organizational growth.
We are looking for a proven industry leader who combines technical expertise, strong business acumen, hands-on operational management, and the ability to independently run and grow a company.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all company operations, including engineering, construction, MEP, procurement, maintenance, and project management.
- Oversee swimming pool construction, filtration systems, water treatment, waterproofing, fountains, water features, and related electromechanical installations.
- Manage projects from tendering and estimation through execution, testing, commissioning, and handover.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve business performance, revenue, and profitability.
- Identify and secure new construction projects, maintenance contracts, and business opportunities.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with consultants, developers, contractors, hospitality clients, and facility management companies.
- Manage company budgets, project costing, profit margins, operational expenses, and resource utilization.
- Supervise engineers, project managers, technicians, maintenance teams, and subcontractors.
- Ensure timely project delivery, technical compliance, quality standards, and customer satisfaction.
- Improve operational efficiency, team performance, and overall company profitability.
- Provide regular business performance reports and strategic recommendations to senior management.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a relevant discipline.
- Minimum 12 years of relevant industry experience, including at least 5 years in senior management.
- Strong technical understanding of swimming pool construction, MEP installations, filtration, pumps, water treatment, and waterproofing.
- Proven experience managing a swimming pool contracting company, specialist engineering business, or related business division.
- Strong experience in tendering, estimation, commercial negotiations, budgeting, and contract management.
- Demonstrated ability to secure projects, grow business revenue, and manage profitability.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, commercial, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of the Qatar construction industry and established professional relationships.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Currently residing in Qatar with a valid QID.
- Previous experience as a General Manager, Deputy General Manager, Operations Director, or Business Unit Manager.
- Direct experience in swimming pool construction, water features, and maintenance services.
- Proven capability to manage a complete business operation independently.
Candidates must demonstrate measurable management achievements, including projects delivered, business growth, financial performance, and teams managed.
This position is intended for an experienced industry professional with the technical and commercial capabilities to lead and expand an established business.
