About the Job:
As a Credit Officer, you’ll play a critical part in managing our company’s financial health by ensuring the timely collection of payments and minimizing financial risk. Your primary responsibility will be to analyze customer creditworthiness and manage a portfolio of accounts, ensuring both sound credit decisions and effective collections practices.
- Analyze customer financial information and credit reports to assess creditworthiness and potential risk of delinquency
- Recommend credit limits and payment terms based on established risk assessment guidelines.
- Monitor customer accounts for signs of potential delinquency and take proactive measures to prevent late payments.
- Contact customers via phone, email, or letter to inform them of past-due balances.
- Collect payments through various channels (e.g., phone, online portals) and ensure proper recording of collected funds.
- Foster positive relationships with customers while adhering to ethical collection practices.
- Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions and collection attempts.
- Escalate unresolved accounts to supervisors or legal department if necessary.
- Assist in keeping customer account and collection activity records up-to-date.
- Prepare reports on collection activities, including progress on assigned accounts and overall collection rates.
