Digital Tech Lead – Airswift
Job Purpose
The Digital Tech Lead is responsible for the technical leadership and delivery of digital products that meet internal customer needs and align with business objectives. This role involves designing and architecting software systems, guiding development teams, and ensuring high-quality, scalable, and secure digital solutions. The Tech Lead also drives innovation, fosters collaboration across disciplines, and ensures adherence to best practices and standards.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
- Define and communicate the technical vision, roadmap, and standards for digital projects.
- Design and architect software systems to meet functional and non-functional requirements.
- Lead and mentor software developers, providing technical guidance and support.
- Oversee development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of software systems.
- Review and approve code, documentation, and technical artifacts.
- Monitor system performance, scalability, and reliability; propose improvements and optimizations.
- Conduct research on emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions.
Project Support
- Support up to 6 concurrent projects of varying complexity.
- Make key technical decisions and manage risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Coordinate across technical domains including:
- Data management
- Data science
- Information security
- Cloud infrastructure
- Networking
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with Product Owners, Project Managers, Business Analysts, and internal customers to understand business needs.
- Ensure ad-hoc coordination between business units, IS, and technology partners.
- Facilitate meetings and ensure equal contribution from team members.
- Act as a motivator and leader, proactively removing obstacles to team efficiency.
Agile Delivery
- Apply agile methodologies to ensure early and frequent value delivery.
- Help stakeholders understand team workflows and interaction models.
- Promote agile mindset and continuous improvement across teams.
Work Environment
- Based in Doha, Qatar (standard office hours, 5 days/week).
- Digital transformation is critical to extending operations beyond 2042 in a cost-effective manner.
