Receptionist
We are excited to announce an opening for a Receptionist at our prestigious suites facility in Doha, Qatar. This role is essential in creating a welcoming environment for our guests and ensuring their stay is enjoyable from the moment they arrive. The ideal candidate will have a strong hospitality background, showcasing exceptional customer service skills and a professional demeanor. As the first point of contact for our guests, the Receptionist will manage front desk operations, coordinate reservations, and assist with various administrative tasks to support the hotel staff. This position requires a proactive individual who is detail-oriented and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests upon arrival, providing them with a warm and friendly introduction to the hotel and its amenities.
- Manage the front desk, including checking in and checking out guests, processing payments, and handling inquiries about the hotel and local attractions.
- Coordinate room reservations and ensure accurate booking information is maintained in the hotel management system.
- Respond to guest requests and complaints professionally and promptly, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Assist in managing phone calls, directing them to appropriate departments, and taking messages when necessary.
- Maintain a tidy and organized reception area, ensuring brochures and promotional materials are up to date.
- Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest rooms are prepared and any issues are resolved quickly.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages, ensuring timely delivery and follow-up.
- Support the hotel management team with administrative tasks, including data entry and maintaining records.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and stay updated on hotel policies and procedures.
Preferred Candidate:
- Previous experience as a receptionist or in a hospitality role, demonstrating a solid understanding of hotel operations and guest services.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with guests and colleagues.
- A friendly and professional demeanor, capable of creating a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
- Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite, ensuring efficient handling of reservations and administrative tasks.
- Strong multitasking abilities, able to manage various responsibilities while maintaining attention to detail.
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of additional languages, particularly Arabic, is an asset.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to meet the needs of the hotel.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
