Plumbing Foreman – MEP – AH Holding
The Plumbing Foreman will be responsible for supervising and coordinating all plumbing works on site to ensure installation is carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with approved drawings, specifications, Qatar Construction Standards (QCS), and project schedules.
Key Responsibilities
Site Supervision & Execution
- Supervise day-to-day plumbing installation works including water supply, drainage, sewer, storm water, and sanitary systems.
- Allocate work tasks to plumbers and helpers and ensure productivity targets are met.
- Ensure plumbing works are executed according to approved shop drawings, method statements, and project specifications.
- Monitor workmanship quality and ensure compliance with QCS and local authority requirements.
Coordination & Planning
- Coordinate with MEP engineers, civil teams, fit-out teams, subcontractors, and other trades to avoid clashes.
- Plan work activities in line with project schedules and material availability.
- Assist in resolving site issues, technical problems, and installation challenges.
Quality & Inspection
- Ensure proper installation, testing, and commissioning of plumbing systems.
- Carry out inspections prior to consultant/client inspections.
- Support pressure testing, leakage testing, flushing, and system handover activities.
- Ensure defects and snag items are rectified promptly.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Enforce HSE regulations, toolbox talks, and safe work practices on site.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and safe handling of tools and materials.
- Report safety incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
Materials & Tools Management
- Check and verify materials delivered to site against approved submittals.
- Monitor material usage and minimize wastage.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of plumbing tools and equipment.
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain daily work reports and manpower records.
- Provide progress updates to Site Engineer / MEP Manager.
- Assist with preparation of as-built drawings and handover documentation.
Qualifications & Experience
- ITI / Diploma in Plumbing, Mechanical Engineering, or relevant trade qualification.
- 5–8 years of experience in plumbing works, with 2–3 years as Foreman (Qatar/GCC experience preferred).
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, fittings, and installation methods.
- Experience in residential, commercial, hospitality, or fit-out projects.
