Packaging Designer – Zero One Solutions

The Packaging Designer will be responsible for developing innovative, on-brand packaging solutions for external packaging of tech accessories, ensuring designs align with product branding, customer experience expectations, and premium or commercial material standards. This role requires strong creative and structural design skills, deep material knowledge, and the ability to integrate branding and market insights into packaging that resonates with consumers.

Creative and Strategic Design (70%)

• Conceptualize and develop external packaging designs that reflect URTECH’s visual identity and premium market positioning

• Produce high-quality design mockups and prototypes, including dielines and structural proposals

• Ensure packaging solutions balance aesthetics, functionality, protection, and cost constraints

• Design packaging that stands out on retail shelves (FNAC, Virgin, specialist electronics) and e-commerce listings

Brand & Marketing Collaboration (15%)

• Work closely with Marketing, Product, and Brand teams to ensure packaging supports product storytelling and brand strategy

• Integrate consumer research and trend analysis into design decisions

Maintain brand consistency across 50+ SKU portfolio while differentiating product tiers

• Understand and design against competitor benchmarks (Apple, Anker, Ugreen, Native Union)

Internal Packaging Support (5%)

• Support internal packaging elements (inserts, trays, unboxing presentation) as needed

• Collaborate on premium unboxing experiences that reinforce brand value

Materials & Production Oversight (10%)

• Identify and recommend appropriate premium and commercial materials, considering sustainability, cost, and production feasibility

• Coordinate with overseas manufacturers (China/Taiwan) on production specifications, material sourcing, and quality control

• Ensure packaging meets regulatory, safety, and structural requirements (e.g., shipping durability)

• Oversee final art, specifications, and pre-press preparation of packaging files.
