Deckhand – Alfardan Corporation
Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Deckhand to support the daily operations and maintenance of a vessel in Qatar. The successful candidate will assist with mooring, cargo handling, cleaning, and general deck duties while following maritime safety procedures and the instructions of the vessel’s officers.
Job Responsibility:
– Assist with mooring, anchoring, berthing, and unberthing operations.
– Handle ropes, lines, fenders, and deck equipment safely.
– Support cargo loading, unloading, securing, and stowage as required.
– Maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of the vessel’s deck and exterior areas.
– Inspect and care for deck machinery, tools, and safety equipment.
– Participate in routine maintenance, including painting, cleaning, and minor repairs.
– Follow onboard safety, security, and environmental procedures.
– Assist passengers or crew when required and respond to instructions from the captain and officers.
– Report hazards, equipment issues, and incidents promptly.
