Senior Project Controls Manager (Main Contractor | PMO | High-Rise Projects)
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly accomplished Senior Project Controls Manager to lead the Project Controls function within the PMO for major high-rise and mixed-use developments in Qatar.
The successful candidate must come from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 Main Contracting background, with extensive experience managing project controls on large-scale high-rise towers, commercial developments, mixed-use developments, hotels, residential towers, malls, and complex building projects from award through handover.
The role will be responsible for driving all project controls disciplines including planning, scheduling, cost control, progress measurement, forecasting, risk management, executive reporting, claims support and portfolio performance monitoring across multiple projects.
The ideal candidate will have a strong PMO background and a proven ability to provide project performance visibility to executive leadership while ensuring projects remain on schedule and within approved budgets.
Candidates whose experience is primarily within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, LNG, Refineries, Offshore, Pipeline, or Industrial Plant projects will not be considered.
Mandatory Experience (Must Have)
- Minimum 08 – 12 + years of Project Controls experience within Main Contracting organizations.
- Minimum 5 years in a Senior Project Controls Manager or Head of Project Controls role.
- Proven experience within a PMO (Project Management Office) overseeing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated experience on high-rise towers (30 – 40+ floors preferred) and large-scale building developments.
- Experience delivering projects from tender stage through construction, testing & commissioning, handover and final account closure.
- Strong background managing Planning, Cost Control, Progress Monitoring, Forecasting and Executive Reporting functions.
- Experience supporting commercial teams on Extension of Time (EOT), delay analysis and claims evaluation.
- GCC project experience is mandatory.
