Senior Fire Alarm Technician
1. Job Summary
The Senior Fire Alarm Technician is responsible for the installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and supervision of fire alarm systems in accordance with project specifications, local authority requirements, and industry standards. The role includes leading site technicians, coordinating with engineers and subcontractors, and ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.
2. Key Responsibilities
Install, terminate, and commission fire alarm systems, detectors, modules, control panels, sounders, and related equipment.
Perform testing, inspection, troubleshooting, and maintenance of fire alarm systems.
Lead and supervise technicians and subcontractors on site.
Ensure all installations comply with project specifications, applicable codes, and authority requirements.
Review drawings, layouts, and technical documents before execution.
Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance activities for fire alarm systems.
Identify and rectify faults in fire alarm panels, field devices, and network communication systems.
Coordinate with project engineers, consultants, clients, and other trades on site.
Prepare inspection requests and support testing activities with clients and authorities.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, system modifications, and maintenance reports.
Ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and materials.
Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures at site.
Assist in project handover activities, documentation, and client training when required.
