PCS7 ENGINEER – Associated Engineering

We are looking for an experienced PCS7 Engineer to join our team in Qatar. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Siemens PCS7 systems, specifically version 9.1 or above. This role is vital for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of control systems, which are fundamental to our clients’ operations. The successful candidate will leverage their technical expertise to design, implement, and maintain control systems that meet industry standards and client requirements while facilitating seamless operations.

Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and implement control solutions using Siemens PCS7 version 9.1 or above, ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards.
2. Conduct system integration testing, validation, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance of control systems.
3. Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to define project objectives, deliverables, and timelines effectively.
4. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for PCS7 systems, addressing issues promptly to minimize operational disruptions.
5. Participate in the installation, configuration, and commissioning of control systems and related hardware components.
6. Document system designs, changes, and operational procedures to maintain comprehensive records for future reference and compliance.
7. Train and guide junior engineers and technicians on the effective use of PCS7 systems and automation best practices.
8. Stay informed about advancements in control systems technology and industry trends to enhance service offerings and client solutions.
9. Assist in preparing project proposals, including cost estimates and resource allocation for clients.
10. Ensure all engineering activities comply with safety regulations and quality assurance standards.

Preferred Candidate:

1. Demonstrated experience with Siemens PCS7 systems, particularly version 9.1 or higher, showcasing a robust technical background.
2. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and implement effective solutions quickly.
3. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
4. Detail-oriented approach to design and documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards.

6. Proficient in programming languages relevant to PCS7, such as SCL and STL, to develop automation solutions effectively.
