Logistics Supervisor – Gissah Perfumes

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Supervisor to join our dynamic team in Doha, Qatar. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating the logistics operations of our organization, ensuring that all processes run smoothly and efficiently. This position requires a strong understanding of supply chain management, as well as exceptional leadership and communication skills. The Logistics Supervisor will be responsible for managing the transportation, warehousing, and distribution of goods, ensuring that we meet our customers’ needs while optimizing costs and resources.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee daily logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
2. Develop and implement logistics strategies that enhance efficiency and reduce costs while maintaining high service levels.
3. Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and internal departments to ensure timely delivery of goods and materials.
4. Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary.
5. Lead and mentor a team of logistics staff, providing guidance and support to foster a positive and productive work environment.
6. Manage inventory levels and ensure accurate record-keeping to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.
7. Maintain relationships with transportation providers and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms and conditions.
8. Prepare and present logistics reports to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas of concern.
9. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the logistics operations.
10. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve logistics processes.

Preferred Candidate:

1. Proven experience as a Logistics Supervisor or in a similar role within the logistics and supply chain industry.
2. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
3. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
4. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with various stakeholders.
5. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
6. Proficient in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to analyze data and generate reports.
7. Knowledge of inventory management systems and transportation regulations.
8. Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and embrace change.
9. Strong analytical skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
10. A degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
