Environmental Officer – Candidzone Qatar
We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Officer to join our infrastructure projects team in Qatar. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in civil construction projects, particularly within the GCC region, and a strong background in environmental management and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental policies and regulations on infrastructure projects.
- Prepare, review, and submit daily, weekly, and monthly environmental reports (EDL, MER) in Lusail projects.
- Support NCR closeout processes and other associated reporting for LREDC.
- Provide technical guidance on environmental aspects related to roads, highways, tunnels, underpasses, pipelines, and other underground utilities.
- Assist in implementing environmental management systems (ISO 14001) and sustainability initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree or diploma in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or Environmental Engineering.
- 7 to 10 years of professional experience in the civil construction industry in Qatar or other GCC countries.
- 5 years of direct experience in infrastructure projects in Qatar or GCC.
- Prior experience in Lusail projects is an advantage.
- Proficient in spoken and written English.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Solid understanding of environmental and technical processes associated with civil infrastructure projects.
Certifications (Preferred):
- ISO 14001 Environmental Management
- ISEP
- NEBOSH
- GSAS CGP
