Asset Management Consultant
We are seeking an experienced Asset Management Consultant to provide strategic and technical leadership for the Asset Management function within a major Drainage Networks Operations & Maintenance organization in Qatar. The successful candidate will advise senior management on asset management strategies, organizational transformation, operational performance, and international best practices to support long-term infrastructure sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and technical advice to senior management on all aspects of Asset Management.
- Support the development and implementation of Asset Management strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
- Lead initiatives to establish and embed Asset Management best practices across the organization.
- Review and recommend improvements to organizational structures, policies, procedures, and governance related to Asset Management.
- Drive organizational transformation and change management initiatives.
- Monitor departmental objectives, KPIs, risks, and performance, recommending corrective actions where required.
- Advise on operational performance improvements and risk management practices across multiple business units.
- Ensure departmental plans and initiatives remain within approved budgets and timelines.
- Prepare regular and ad hoc management reports, highlighting key trends, risks, and recommendations.
- Promote a culture of excellence, integrity, and continuous improvement.
- Represent the department in internal and external meetings and deputize for senior management when required.
- Perform additional strategic assignments as directed by management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Degree obtained from North America, Western Europe, or Australia is preferred.
- Chartered Engineer (or equivalent professional registration) is highly desirable.
- Accreditation from the Institute of Asset Management (IAM) or a similar professional body is preferred.
