Overview Of The Role:
The Master Paint Technician is responsible for the preparation and finishing of automotive surfaces. This involves applying body filler, sanding, and painting to restore car surfaces according to manufacturers’ specifications. The role ensures that high-quality standards of workmanship are maintained and that all safety protocols are followed. The technician plays a crucial role in completing car paintings as per dealer standards, with a focus on problem-solving and the efficient use of tools and technology.
What You Will Do:
- Apply body filler and sand surfaces to prepare for painting.
- Apply primer and paint according to manufacturer’s repair standards.
- Perform machine compounding and polishing to restore finish of old cars according to final inspection reports.
- Maintain repair quality and car body durability to manufacturer’s standards.
- Review and prevent issues highlighted in repeat repair reports and final inspection reports.
- Implement safety practices while conducting painting jobs.
- Use safety equipment like respirators and protective clothing during work.
- Keep tools and work area clean and orderly.
- Participate in team safety discussions and training sessions.
- Report incidents to supervisors and undertake safety training as provided.
