Application Support Engineer – Commercial Bank of Qatar
Job Summary
Commercial Bank Innovation Services is looking to hire a Application Support Engineer- Wealth Management Systems.
Application management for Information Technology systems, providing L1 and L2 support for applications mainly investment systems such as WMS (wealth management system) and PMS (Portfolio Management system). The candidate will work collaboratively with L3 development team post go live for upgrades, enhancements and ongoing support.
Key Accountabilities
- Providing 1st, 2nd support to Banking Applications such as Brokerage system, WMS/PMS/AMS system in terms of upgrades and projects and BAU.
- Work with the Run the Bank team to build and maintain the technical aspects of Investment applications (administration, maintenance) including but not restricted to analysis, design, estimation of business requirements.
- Develop in-depth knowledge of wealth & investment systems through research and testing in order to act as a Subject Matter Expert with such applications.
- Perform initial design reviews and recommend improvements and Provide recommendations for continuous improvements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with data scientist, business users, project managers and other engineers to achieve elegant solutions.
- Managing code migration across environments to ensure continued and synchronized functionality.
- Ensure continuous knowledge development and participate effectively in knowledge transfers programs.
- Strong Capability to help end users and business in reporting to regulatory by providing the necessary reports.
- Documenting processes and monitoring application performance metrics.
- Extending support for new implementations and projects that would include manage projects from Application Support side.
